1. Who we are

HITS develops and manufactures industrial UAV cameras, EO/IR gimbal payloads and related imaging systems. In this policy “HITS”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the company operating hitsuav.com.

For any question about this policy or about your personal data, contact us at info@hitsuav.com or write to Unit 908-909, Parklane Centre, 25 Kin Wing Street, Hong Kong.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

  • Information you give us. When you send an enquiry, request a quotation, ask for a datasheet or correspond with our team, we collect the details you provide. This normally includes your name, company, work email address, telephone number, country and the technical requirements you describe.
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our servers and analytics tools record technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and time on page.
  • Information from third parties. If a distributor, agent or integration partner passes your requirements to us, we receive the contact and project information they provide.

We do not ask for, and we do not want to receive, special categories of personal data such as health data, biometric data, or information about criminal convictions.

3. How we use information

  • To answer enquiries and prepare quotations.
  • To provide technical documentation, samples and after-sales support.
  • To manage orders, deliveries, warranties and returns.
  • To understand how the website is used so that we can improve it.
  • To send commercial information about our products, where you have asked for it or where we are otherwise permitted to do so.
  • To meet accounting, tax, export control and other legal obligations.
  • To protect the site and our systems against misuse, fraud and security incidents.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

4. Cookies and analytics

The site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and remember your preferences. Analytics cookies help us see which pages and products visitors find useful; they are used in aggregate.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not work. Where required by law, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.

5. Legal bases

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract – to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and perform an order.
  • Legitimate interests – to run and secure the website, to improve our products and to develop our business relationships.
  • Consent – for non-essential cookies and for marketing messages where consent is the required basis.
  • Legal obligation – for accounting, tax, export control and compliance records.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only where it is necessary and only with parties who are bound to protect it:

  • Service providers who host the website, run analytics, deliver email or support our CRM.
  • Logistics, customs and payment providers where an order requires it.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors, insurers and legal counsel.
  • Authorities where we are legally required to disclose information, including export control and customs authorities.
  • A successor entity if our business or assets are reorganised, merged or sold.

7. International transfers

We operate internationally, so your data may be processed in a country other than your own. Where personal data leaves the country in which it was collected, we use appropriate safeguards, such as contractual clauses with our service providers, and we limit transfers to what is necessary.

8. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries and quotations that do not become orders: up to 24 months.
  • Customer, order and warranty records: for the duration of the relationship and for the period required by accounting and tax law.
  • Export control and compliance records: for the period required by applicable regulation.
  • Website analytics: in aggregate form, normally no longer than 26 months.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transmission, access control, restricted administrative rights and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we act promptly if we become aware of an incident.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete data that we no longer need.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Ask for your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@hitsuav.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

11. Children

This site is intended for business and professional use. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

12. Links to other sites

Our pages may link to third-party websites, including video platforms and partner sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
